Projects
Based in Paris, France, Tristan Huguen worked on three housing projects in the city center.
The goal was to renove or extend existing infrastructure to make them more pleasant to live, fonctional and equipped.
Working on relatively small surfaces: an old maid's room, a studio and a rooftop terrasse and studio, contraints become more importants. It is why he works guided by clearly diffined lines to follow: acoustic and thermal performance, functionnality and flexibility of the space, lighting and privacy of the inhabitant and finaly the global aesthetic.
He also worked on a social and student housing project in Paris' suburb inside an agency.

Studio 44
This project concerns the renovation of a Parisian house and the transformation of the ground and top floor. The house is built on five levels with the facade facing south.
The focus of this project is the transformation of the ground floor. This transformation involves the separation of the current entrance from the existing rooms in order to create an independent apartment.

The floor space being limited, it is necessary to optimize the distribution of the different spaces: kitchen, living room, bedroom and workspace. Then, to work on the arrangement of the furniture to enable the most fluid circulation possible.

Existing plan and new plan
Finally, the studio needed to be sound insulated. This insulation would be realized with cork panels. Cork is a low-cost material that creates a good acoustic while ensuring thermal insulation of the spaces, notably by regulating their humidity.
